So Much for Basketball- Part 2
I received an e-mail from the pastor in Alexandrov a few days ago informing me that the basketball tournament has been rescheduled for this weekend. While I was excited to hear that they will still be able to conduct the event, I was disappointed to learn that it will start this Friday. The reason for my disappointment comes from the fact that I have had plans for several weeks to go to Moscow on Friday. I will be taking one of our teams from Fortuna, CA to the airport before stopping by IKEA to pick up some storage bins for Sunday school. There aren't many others available to take the team back and I have been looking forward to buying the items for the children's ministry for some time. The cabinets are a mess and I've waited several months for an opportunity to get a free ride to Moscow.
Anyway, you can still join me in praying for the tournament outreach in Alexandrov. I think it's a great idea. If the report of the event is a positive one, we are going to consider holding a similar event in Vladimir. It would give us a chance to reach out to a group of young people in our city that aren't interested in our concerts and movie nights.
