Prayer Meeting Attendance Growth Slows
A few weeks ago, I wrote a post about improved attendance for our prayer meeting. I joking headlined the post "500% Increase in Attendance!!!" While the math was correct, the number was misleading as only five people had showed up. Still, it was an improvement from the meeting I had led before that one. I mentioned at the end of the post that I was hoping and praying for another five fold increase at the next meeting.
Well, we had another prayer meeting this past Saturday and only 10 people made it out. Though some may be bummed at the growth rate slowing to 100%, I was happy to see more people show up to pray together. :) The most encouraging part of the meeting was the fact that two new people were there. They were not new believers, but "old" believers who hadn't been to one of these meetings in a very long time.
I'm still praying that the hearts of the believers in our church would be stirred up for corporate (and private for that matter) prayer. We have another meeting this Sunday evening. I'll let you know how it turns out.
