Killing Off the Cardboard
Yesterday, I went into church to start organizing the cabinets with the new storage bins that we were able to purchase last Friday. As usual when cleaning out our cabinets, we made quite a mess and tossed out a bunch of useless items that were hiding in various boxes and shelf corners. By the end of the day, everything was back in the cabinets- neatly organized and in the new containers. The old cardboard boxes that we had used previously were scattered about the floor.
I was so happy to get rid of those old boxes. Back in my quality control days I learned that cardboard attracts a lot of dust and moisture and creates a lot of particulate matter. I am glad that we were blessed with the opportunity to create a cleaner and healthier environment.
Most of the Sunday school crew have no idea that we reorganized everything. They are going to be quite surprised to see the change. Today I am working on creating labels for the containers and the cabinet doors so that everything will be easy to locate (and return to the proper areas). It has been a successful project.
